Coach O’Flynn just finished his 8th year as Varsity Baseball coach at Ipswich High School. Many former players have gone on to pitch in college. In 2006, pitcher Matt Small was drafted in the 14th round by the Atlanta Braves out of high school. O'Flynn is also the Varsity Indoor Track head coach in which he is responsible for speed development. In 2009 O'Flynn was name Salem Evening News Coach of the Year. "There are many similarities in momentum concepts when dealing with pitchers and sprinters posture is priority and functional strength a must."
PLAYING BACKGROUND
O’Flynn proudly played Little League baseball and high school baseball in Ipswich. After high school, Coach O’Flynn pitched and played 1st base at the University of New Hampshire where he was named Division I All-New England in 1993. During his college years he spent 2 summers playing in the Cape Cod League. In the 1993 Major League Baseball draft O’Flynn was chosen by the Texas Rangers. After 6 professional seasons and over 1,000 pro-innings pitched, O’Flynn was forced into early retirement. During his playing career O’Flynn learned under such pitching luminaries as Tom House, Brad Arnsberg (current pitching coach for Houston Astros, Nolan Ryan and John Tudor.
O’Flynn maintained his relationship with Tom House, founder of the NPA and RDRBI before joining him in August of 2008.

DR. HUGH O"FLYNN ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON (Dr.pitchingfix@gmail.com)
Dr. O’Flynn has an intense interest in the biomechanics of throwing and on injuries in athletes. He has a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and a masters in Biomechanical Engineering from Harvard University and spent a year working in the Harvard/Massachusetts General Hospital Orthopedic Biomechanics Lab. He obtained his MD at Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons. He worked with the team physicians for the New York Mets and the New York Football Giants during his Orthopedic Surgery training at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. He has written a Chapter in Jim Andrew’s textbook “The Athlete’s Shoulder”, written articles on hip, knee and shoulder problems and has been a busy practicing orthopedic surgeon and team physician for 10 years.

TOM LANDRY - NPA/RDRBI
Nationally Certified Professional Baseball Pitching Instructor
“I focus on the development of proper pitching mechanics through the use of motion analysis and science based teaching methods”
Tom is a nationally certified instructor with the National Pitching Association (www.nationalpitching.net). Tom teaches the same techniques used by the best pitchers in baseball. Through the20use of video analysis technology a pitcher will be able to develop the functional mechanics required to reach a higher level of skills to be a successful and injury free pitcher. The NPA protocol has been adopted by Dr. James Andrews at the new Andrews Institute in Florida. http://www.theandrewsinstitute.com/
Tom is a former pitcher in the Cincinnati Reds organization and has coached at the high school and AAU level. He was the Director of Clinics for Major League Baseball International teaching baseball skills to all age groups at various locations throughout Germany. He has been an instructor for the past 20 years and has worked with pitchers currently playing at the Division I, II and III collegiate level. Landry and O'Flynn have also joined together to form New England Sports Partners. Their hope is to educate parents, coaches, and aspiring athletes at all levels throughout New England.
