Our Philosophy

Science continues to advance by leaps and bounds. These scientific advances can also be used in the research and development of many sports. Often times, there are advances in equipment that athletes have the opportunity to utilize. Many advances are also made in the way and form that athletes train.

Many athletes in the baseball industry continue to rely on training methods and advice from the previous era's of athletes. Many individuals simply do not realize the benefits that science and current technology can offer the sport of baseball! There are major advances in training, conditioning, equipment and nutrition that can increase a player's abilities while minimizing the risk of injury. In the meantime, many baseball players continue to experience a high rate of injuries and career ending accidents due to their outdated methods of training and conditioning.

The Rod Dedeaux Baseball Research Institute (RDRBI) is located on the USC campus. Here they utilize over 40 years of research conducted by Dr. Tom House and the National Pitching Association (NPA). They have set themselves apart as leaders in the industry of baseball research.

The NPA is mainly focused on pitching, though the basis of their curriculum is extremely useful in all aspects of baseball: nutrition, training, conditioning and mental aspects. The RDRBI uses a three-dimensional analysis of motion in pitching, throwing and hitting in order to examine advanced body mechanics. From this examination they develop a pattern of efficiency that provides an athlete with a level of optimum performance.

At Pitching Fix, we rely on the following principles to train athletes for their individual optimum performance:

Mechanical Efficiency

Functional Strength

Endurance

Flexibility

Pitching Totals

Health and Nutrition

Through our program, each participant will be given access to:

Motion Analysis Technology: Using up to 1200 frames per second (FPS) every angle

of motion is analyzed.

Stalker MLB Radar Gun Readings: This is implemented in drills and bullpens.

LYNX Timing System- Fully Automated Timing Know your real speed

Pitching and Catching Guidelines: This information is developed by the RDRBI, NPA,NESP

and Pitching Fix.

Information and Training: Crucial to reaching your full potential!
